Take a train to the Blue Mountains, stop at Blackheath station and walk the western trail into the forest. The path will soon become steep and narrow before your arrival at the edge of the valley’s escarpment. Pitch your tent between the cliff top crags and the gum tree’s labyrinth.
At dusk, someone emerges quietly from the twisted eucalyptus cathedrals. Paneye has come to sit with you as the sun sinks behind the hills.
